My Trip to D.C.

I got to tag along on Faith's business trip to the Washington National Hilton in Jan. 1998.  It was my first trip to a hotel, so I didn't know what to expect.  But it was better than staying home all alone and having a stranger come in only a couple times a day to take care of me for 11 long days. I hope you will enjoy my photos- please note that to experience my cuteness to the fullest, you need to click on the thumbnail image to see the full size image.

At first, I didn't really know what to make of the strange hotel room.  I liked it under the bed, though- it reminded me of sleeping under the bed in the computer room at home (while Faith hogs up the computer and doesn't let me work on my webpage)  But then I started to explore, as you can see:

exploring...

The bed was really comfy- and I was glad Faith brought my favorite blanket from home (you can't see it in these pictures, but it was there!). For a human, she's OK. :)

The hotel room had a very nice windowsill- it was fun looking at all the little people way down below. Sitting there was a good way to pass the time when Faith was gone.

Once I got settled in, Faith gave me a new catnip toy to play with- and I had a lot of fun with it!

what a fun toy!

One of my favorite places in the room was the chair- it was so comfy! I posed for several pictures on it. Take a look!

And now for two of Faith's favorite pictures- here I am drinking from a glass. I don't see what the big deal is. I mean, humans drink from glasses all the time, and it's really natural for me- water from a glass has a certain je ne sais quoi which is lacking in water from a bowl. But I'm told it's cute, so I put a couple pix of it up here:

Well, that's about it! I had a great time and am glad that Faith brought me with. The maid said that I was very good when she cleaned- she was very nice to me, for a stranger. I'm very happy to be back home now, though, and I have a lot more space to move around.
