Stephen R. Buntrock joined the Les Mis cast as part of the new cast gathered for the show's 10th anniversary on March 12, 1997. He continued to play the role of Enjolras on Broadway through December 1998 . After leaving the show briefly to play the role of Barrett in Titanic, he reprised the role of Enjolras from April 1999 through June 1999.
