Stephen performed in the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera from early 2005 through December 2006. He played the ensemble role of the Marksman and understudied the roles of Raoul and The Phantom, which he performed many times, including during the Aug 2005 vacation of Hugh Panaro.
Stephen joined the US Tour of The Phantom of the Opera in Feb. 2004 and he was with the tour through Jan. 30, 2005. His main function has been that of a Swing which means that he filled in for whichever male ensemble members were out. He also performed as an understudy for the 2 male leads, Raoul and The Phantom.

Stephen performed in the Phantom tour from Feb. 2004 through Jan. 30, 2005 in cities that included Chicago, Appleton, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Tampa, and Madison. He then appeared in the Broadway production through December 2006.
