Great job on this site, Faith! Absolutely LOVE the photo of Stephen as Arnaud on the home page...actually all the photos of Stephen as Arnaud, period. :) I have yet to see him on stage, but hopefully that'll change soon. Again, excellent, excellent job on this site!!!

Great web site!

Steve and I attended school together in Illinois and frequently auditioned for roles in the same productions. It's great to see how well he's done!

Bravo!

Last time i was the show was this summer three wonderful nights at the MUNY..anyway, I have see Stephen in both Les Mis and Jane Eyre(which i am so sad that it closed... it was the best "new" musical i had seen in years)I love it! Keep up the great work...

Mr. Buntrock,
I've seen all of your shows and think you are BY FAR the most talented performer alive. I think my favorite role of yours was at Six Flags when you sang the Witch Doctor! You were awesome! Also when you sang Callin' Out Around the World and took it up an octave, I had a true 'moment of silence'... Hopefully, I'll get to actually meet you one day and get an autograph!

To Stephen: Jay and I along with our daughter Christine saw Miss Saigon last night (Sept. 21, 2001), and it was a GREAT evening! You are truly a professional! What a great actor and such a wonderful singing voice. We hoped you and the cast might be available after the performance, so we could tell you this in person, but this website will serve that purpose, too.

We remember you from Naperville North High School some years ago.
Christine reminds us that you were kind enough to volunteer to be the batboy for her softball team along with your many other activities. :-)

So, congratulations, on such a great performance. We look forward to seeing you in another production.

P. S. This a very good website...a wonderful tribute.

Wpw, I hope this doesn't offend you, but this site cracks me up! It is so flattering that you did this for Steve. I am the Assistant Stage Manager at the Marriott Linclonshire's theatre. Another one of our employee's and Steve were having a conversation about the site and I just had to check it out. I think Steve is a great guy and deserves the attention, but knowing him in person you wouldn't think he'd have a website dedicated to him. You did a wonderful job though. Thanks for putting the WGN review on your site- I didn't know about it. I'm glad you enjoyed our performance of Miss Saigon and that you've seen it so many times!

Faith -- doing this coz I'm too tired to email. I've been working OT for a few weeks, and I'm dead dead dead. But very excited about SRB's going to be in Miss Saigon. And here, I'll say it in public so I can't weasel out of it: I HATE Chris. There. He's a prime example of why a lot of people don't like Americans. *sigh* But I'm sure a respectable and admirable job will be done by all. SRB has excellent taste in jobs even if the critics don't agree with him. I'm squeezing my piggy bank to find travel money with no car. Ticket money shouldn't be that hard. I do have family in Illinois, so who knows? It might work out. And I'm so wishing Illinois were a smaller state, for many, many reasons. I didn't even see until today that you'd put up a Miss Saigon subpage. Turning green with envy at your web authoring skills and slinking away to the land where sleep never comes. -- Shannon

Thanks to "Jane Eyre", I have become a fan of Stephen. He has a beautiful voice and he performs very well. He had a wide range in his various roles. I can't wait to see him in something else.

As for this site...This is the first site I came to, and the one I return to over and over! It is THE BEST!

Stephen Buntrock is awesome; I saw him as Enjolras on Broadway a few years ago and he was great. It's cool to see he's still very involved in it and that someone has taken the time to put up a nice page about him. :D

Hey couz' (if you ever actually look at this guest book thing). Haven't heard from you for awhile. I just moved down here and am staying with family. It's a little warmer than Chicago or Minneapolis and there's alot of venues around.
It is so great to finally hear you on record. I'm sure Mom and I will get out there to see you again soon.

P.s. I don't think Terry's Romeo and Juliet is gonna make it out there, but you know how that goes.

e-mail me!

Talk to ya soon

Hi, Having grown up in Papua New Guinea and only moved to Australia for college, I have regrettably never heard of Stephen Buntrock, the actor. However, I have an Uncle Stephen Buntrock who is an artist! I always thought he was one of a kind but now I know there's another one! :) Anyway, just in case you didn't know, there's an Australian branch of the Buntrock family tree that came from Germany two generations ago. I'd like to hear from any more Buntrocks and work out connections...

Hi Stephen,
I sincerely doubt you remember me, but I saw your site and couldn't resist saying hello. As a member of the children's choir, I had the pleasure of working with you in "Joseph" while it was in Boston. You were of course my favorite cast member, continuously making each performance interesting by making faces at me during the vulture scene, or giving me high-fives at the end of the show. You also told me I had a beautiful voice, which I was thrilled about. It may sound corny, but to a fifteen year old, you played a very significant role in my "Joseph" experience. I actually still have a picture of the two of us kicking around somewhere; It's of me with a shocked grin on my face as you lifted me in your arms during the signing party. It was a very happy moment for me. Thank you for making me smile. I wish you and your family all the best, and hope to get to Jane Eryre soon.

Hi, Stephen. I may be your long-lost cousin. :o) My family is originally from South Dakota. I have followed your career somewhat over the last few years, but have had no way of contacting you. I see now that you have your own web site. Very nice. I get to New York about once a month to visit my boyfriend who lives in Manhattan. I've been doing this long-distance stuff for almost three years now. I'm finally seriously considering moving to NYC this summer. It would be great to hear from you to see where our families link up.

I saw Stephen Buntrock in Martin Guerre. His voice is marvelous and perfectly complemented that of Hugh Panaro. His scenes with Erin Dilly were very moving and full of emotional tension. I also saw him in Titanic and most recently as St. John in Jane Eyre. Unfortunately his part in Jane Eyre does not allow him to truly showcase his voice and talent. I would love to see him as Raoul in Phantom. I'm glad I found this website.

I've now had the pleasure of seeing Stephen 5 times in Jane Eyre. He is a wonderfully talented performer and I hope I get a chance to see him go on as Rochester someday soon. On top of being a talented performer he is one of the nicest people I've ever met and I've never walked away from a conversation with him without a smile on my face. I wish him all the luck in the future and here's to as many visits to Jane Eyre as I can fit in. :)

My son and I have been BIG fans of Stephen's since seeing him in Titanic and then in Les Miz. We had the privilege of speaking to him several times, and he always gave us extra time and put up with our craziness! I even brought a friend from England to meet him after Les Miz - He was a great sport about that too! We'll be at Jane Eyre in January, and are very much looking forward to seeing him again. A very talented performer, and a great guy! (Great site, Faith - you're doing a wonderful job.)

I met Stephen and Jamie in Seattle when I was a nanny to Haley when she was 18 months old. Jamie was here starring as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. I lost track of their address as I wanted to keep in touch with them. I would love to know how Jamie has grown up. I think of them every Christmas when I hang my beautiful Santa ornament from them. It would be great to hear from them! Best of luck to all of them.
